Wild Sunflower creates handmade demi-fine jewelry inspired by the natural beauty and individuality of gemstones.Each piece is made in small batches using natural stones, 925 sterling silver, and 14K gold-filled metals. Some designs can be recreated in limited quantities, while others are one-of-a-kind pieces created around a particular stone that caught my eye.
I call it demi-fine because I believe beautiful, well-made jewelry can be both special and approachable. By choosing quality materials instead of solid gold or platinum, I can create thoughtfully designed gemstone jewelry at a more accessible price while keeping the focus on craftsmanship.
The materials have a story, too. I source my metals from trusted U.S. suppliers, including Rio Grande Jewelry Supply, while many of my gemstones are discovered during my travels or sourced locally through a second-generation family-run gem shop. Thoughtful and responsible sourcing is important to me, and I take care to work with suppliers I know and trust.
14K Gold-Filled
The warmth of gold, made more approachable.
14K gold-filled jewelry is not gold plated. A substantial layer of 14K gold is bonded to a base metal core, making it considerably more durable than typical gold plating. I choose gold-filled metal for its beauty, durability, and accessibility compared with solid gold.
Sterling Silver
Classic, versatile, and made to be worn.
My silver jewelry is made with 925 sterling silver, a durable alloy containing 92.5% pure silver. Its timeless finish pairs beautifully with the natural colors and textures of gemstones.
Natural Gemstones
Nature doesn't make duplicates. That's the beauty of it.
Natural gemstones vary in color, pattern, inclusions, transparency, and flash from one stone to the next. I embrace these differences rather than treating them as imperfections—they're part of what makes each stone unique.
